Makayla Mika was born in 1998. Mikayla’s mother, Wendy, had a C-section scheduled with Dr. Todoro, but Makayla had other plans. Dr. Sanflippo was the on call the night Wendy delivered. “Oh no, it’s Friday the 13th,” Wendy said to her husband, as they made their way to the hospital. Mikayla will be turning 20 in 2 months. Her mother describes her as one of the most independent and generous young women she knows and states, “Once she sets her mind to something, she does it!” Maybe it’s because she was born on Friday the 13th, “The luckiest day of that year for us,” Wendy claims. Wendy says she feels, “So blessed with my “baby” and this OB/GYN practice.”
