Kari became a nurse in 1996 and spent many years working in Labor and Delivery while pursuing her master’s degree in nursing. She graduated with honors in 2002, certified as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of Buffalo. Kari has been working as a Nurse Practitioner since 2002 and has experience in high risk pregnancy, normal pregnancy, preventative gynecological care, health promotion and disease prevention throughout a woman’s lifespan. She has an especially strong passion for natural childbirth and has always felt a strong calling to be able to provide mothers who seek more comfortable, easy birthings with the proper education needed to allow them to trust their ability to birth by releasing their fears and empowering themselves. Kari is a Childbirth Educator certified in the Mongan Method of HypnoBirthing and has been teaching expectant parents since 2002. She is excited to bring these classes to our practice so that our patients may have more choices in childbirth education.
During her spare time, Kari enjoys gardening (especially growing her own organic vegetables,) yoga, caring for her Jack Russell Terriers, and spending time with her husband Carl, son Tyler and grandson Jayden.
