Mary Kate Frauenheim was born and raised in Buffalo. She went to Columbia University for her undergraduate degree where she majored in neuroscience. She then returned home and attended the University at Buffalo for medical school where she graduated Magna Cum Laude, and then continued on to complete her residency training here as well. She is the recipient of the David H Nichols award for excellence in gynecologic surgery.
Throughout her training she has grown to love all aspects of women’s health and obstetrics, specifically the ability to be able to follow her patients lifelong. She also has a passion for gynecologic and minimally invasive surgery.
She lives in Kenmore with her husband and two dogs. In her spare time, she likes to bake, exercise, and go boating on the lake. Go Bills!
