Renee Hansen, CNM began her career in healthcare as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant at a long-term health care facility. While working there she pursued a Medical Office Assistant degree. Renee was then employed, for many years, in a pediatrician’s office. The model of the registered nurses in this office prompted her interest in pursuing an advanced healthcare degree. In 1995, Renee completed her Registered Nursing degree. With these degrees and experience, she was employed as the office manager of a newly opened OB/GYN practice within a multi-specialty group. Given this experience she soon determined that women’s healthcare was her niche. Not yet done learning, Renee sought and completed a Master of Science in Nursing at Philadelphia University, to become a Certified Nurse Midwife. Upon graduation in 2013, she worked in the Olean area as a full scope midwife. Renee then joined Catholic Health serving the rural Springville, NY area.
She is excited to join OB/GYN Associates of Western New York, and to work alongside Dr. Virgina Bond. Renee’s goal is to be the most caring and compassionate midwife for her patients as she is very passionate at providing the most comprehensive care to women across their lifespan.
